Well, I was working on making the A-axis adaptor, and got sick of the spindle motor being a wimp. So from an 1/4 hp motor, I’ve upgrade 1hp. Now it’s got some juice and runs a lot quieter as well, perhaps new bearings. Read more…

I bought this [left] yesterday, and have been trying to figure out how to mount it to my lathe. So far it’s been a tricky situation. As I’ve got ot probably make a milling/spindle for my lathe, before I’m able to precisely drill and tap the gears and mount it to the back of the lathe [below].
